Arte&Moto Lisboa

Exhibition of Video Art, Meeting of Custom Bikes, Surfing, Culture & Lifestyle

Following the immense success of last year’s inaugural event, the second edition of Art & Moto will be held in Lisbon on April 26th. This year, in addition to the vintage, custom bikes, scramblers and cafe racers, the theme will also incorporate the world of surfing, video, music, clothing, culture and lifestyle illustrating a more complete and integrated picture of contemporary artistic lives and practices.

The main event will take place on Saturday April 26th and will be open to the public between 3pm and 12am. Admission is free! The venue of Art & Moto will be in the XL building, situated in one of the most charismatic areas of the city: LxFactory.

Outside the XL building there will be a special place reserved for visitor’s bikes, which are in the spirit of the event and worth a special look, allowing owners to exhibit their most precious machines, which are often the result of the excellent hard work done by builders. Without being a contest, the best machines will be invited to take part in other events.

Three days of activities are planned for participants and guests between 25th and 27th April including tours of the city’s surroundings, meals in rustic locations, video filming and photography.

The event will also host the presentation of some new motorcycle models from a widely regarded motorcycle manufacturer linked to this culture, as well as some of the most prominent and internationally renowned Portuguese builders. Other less well known, but equally talented national builders will also be present.

The world of surfing will, for the first time, have a strong presence at the event, reinforcing the natural link between this sport and the world of biking. National ‘Old School’ shapers, who use fibreglass and wood to build their boards, surf wear and accessories from prestigious brands and also photographic and video appointments will also take part in this event further promoting Portugal as an international reference in this sport.

Art & Moto is produced by the collective Cafe Racer 351 and 351 Works.
